BCS exam BCS (Cadre) Recruitment Examination Procedure According to the BCS (Age, Eligibility and Direct Recruitment Examination)
Rules-2014 framed for conducting recruitment examination in Bangladesh Civil Service, 3 level examination is conducted by the Commission for recruitment of suitable candidates in the following 26 cadres of BCS.
BCS’s three-tier examination system As per the provisions of BCS (Age, Eligibility and Direct Recruitment Examination) Rules-2014, for the purpose of nominating suitable candidates for Bangladesh Civil Service, the Public Service Commission conducts the following 3 level recruitment examination.
First Level: 200 number MCQ Type Preliminary Test. Second Level: Written Test of 900 marks for successful candidates in Preliminary Test. Level 3: An oral test of 200 marks for the successful candidates in the written test.
First Level: 200 number MCQ Type Preliminary Test Due to a large number of candidates as compared to the vacancies, Bangladesh Public Service Commission conducts MCQ Type Preliminary Test No. 200 in accordance with Rule-6 of BCS (Age, Eligibility and Direct Recruitment Examination) Rules-2014 for selection of suitable candidates through written test. Until the 34th BCS exam, the preliminary test was taken at 100 marks. BCS exam.
As per the provisions of BCS Examination Rules-2014, the system has been introduced to take the MCQ Type Preliminary Test on 10 subjects in 2 hours from the 35th BCS Exam.
Candidates declared successful by the Commission in the Preliminary Test have to appear for the written test of 900 marks. According to the prescribed educational qualifications, 26 cadres are divided into general cadres and technical/professional cadres into these two categories. A. Written test of 900 marks for general cadre candidates. B. Written test of 900 marks for candidates of technical/professional cadre.
