Climate change is the most critical issue in the present world. The causes of climate change will be divided into two types. They are due to natural causes and the causes created by humans. Global warming is the leading genuine reasons, and using harmful chemicals in everyday life is the main reasons created by mans. The climate changes rapidly, resulting in the Earth’s average temperature rising. Global climate change and its consequences are harming developing countries like Bangladesh. The severe impacts of climate change are rising temperatures, greenhouse effects, erratic rainfall, floods, cyclones, droughts, melting of polar ice-caps, etc.,
which seriously affect the lives of the people of poorer countries. Bangladesh, for its geographical location, is likely to be the utmost affected. The developed nation, which are more responsible for such climate changes, should take responsibility to protect the victimized countries. A one-meter rising sea level will submerge about one-third of the total area of Bangladesh, which will uproot 25-30 million people in Bangladesh. These people will become refugees. So, people should be aware of the harmful impact of climate change. Tree plantations can mitigate global warming. Avoiding the usage of toxic chemicals can reduce environmental pollution. So Students should be careful to protect the environment and raise awareness. Thus, students can play a vital role in reducing the harmful impact of climate change.
Change in temperature
Changes in Earth’s weather, including temperature variations, wind patterns, and rainfall, are known as climate changes. It’s now a serious global issue. Greenhouse gas such as methane, carbon dioxide, and CFC are the primary causes of climate change. Our atmosphere, which is protected by the ozone layer, blocks the entry of ultraviolet radiation from the sun and causes a greenhouse effect. Climate change is the most serious of all the issues that affect the entire species of fauna and flora in the natural world. Many species of plants and animals are prone to the effects of climate change. The summer and wet seasons are getting longer, and the winter is shrinking. The banks of the rivers are being damaged, and the crop area is shrinking. In addition, saline water is getting into the rivers of the coastal regions, which causes damage to agricultural lands.
Furthermore, droughts, flooding and other natural disasters have affected the country more often in recent years. In the last century, the sea level has increased by between 10 and 20 centimeters because of global warming. The Sundarban’s largest mangrove forest is also in danger. This leads to more landless persons and climate refugees within the country.
Change in rainfall
Changes in the weather patterns of Earth, which include differences in temperature patterns of rainfall and wind, are referred to as changes in the climate. “climate change” refers to a term used to describe a difference in the weather patterns over a prolonged duration. It’s now a significant global issue. Greenhouse gases, including methane, carbon dioxide, and CFC, are the primary causes of climate change. Our atmosphere is protected by an ozone layer, which impedes the entry of ultraviolet rays that come from the sun and causes a greenhouse effect. Climate change is one of the most serious issues affecting the entire species of fauna and flora in the world. Bangladesh, because it is an area of low elevation, could be the most affected.
Many plants and animals are susceptible to the effects of climate change. The summer and wet seasons are getting longer, and the winter is shrinking. The banks of the rivers are being damaged, and the crop area is decreasing. In addition, saline water enters the rivers in coastal areas, which causes damage to agricultural lands. Furthermore, droughts, flooding, and other natural disasters affect the country more frequently in the present. In the last century, sea levels have increased by between 10 and 20 centimeters due to global warming. The Sundarbans, the largest mangrove forest, is also at serious risk. These factors lead to more landless and climate refugees entering the country.
